Donate your car to a charity is an honorable act, which keep the charity funded. In some cases you can even receive a tax deduction for your donation.Donation of law is handled at the state level, but in most cases only a vehicle title is required at the time of donation. Some states also require a bill of sale, which provides grant written and submitted to your state's Department of Motor Vehicles office documentation.
Print a sales invoice form. Most DMV Web sites provide a standard bill of sale form for vehicle donations, or you can pick up a physical copy at your local DMV office (see Resources). If your state does not require a bill of sale, you can print a blank invoice template using any Information.
Fill the bill of sale with the representative of the charity at the time of donation. The sales contract should include vehicle information, such as the odometer reading and vehicle identification number (VIN), and the name and address of the seller (you) and the purchaser (the charity). At this time, the rear or secondary title of the vehicle, who gave to charity once both parties sign part was also filled.
Submit Bill of Sale to the DMV office in your state, if necessary. Keep a copy for your records for tax purposes.
